WordPress to Astro migrations

Move off WordPress without losing what you've built. We migrate your content, map every URL with a 301, and rebuild the front end in Astro: faster for visitors, nothing left to patch, and no plugin bills.

What's included

What we do.

Full content migration

Every post, page, and image moves over. We pull your content out of WordPress and into Markdown or a headless CMS, cleaned of shortcode and page-builder debris.

A 301 map for every URL

We crawl the old site and map every URL to its new home before launch, so links keep working and your search rankings come along for the ride.

Your design, rebuilt properly

We rebuild the front end as real Astro components instead of a theme: no page-builder lock-in, no mystery CSS, easy for the next developer to extend.

Plugins replaced, not ported

Forms, SEO metadata, analytics, redirects: the things plugins did become part of the build itself. Nothing left to update, license, or patch.

SEO foundation included

Schema.org markup, clean sitemaps, canonical URLs, and server-rendered HTML that both Google and AI engines can actually read.

Yours at handoff

The code, the content, and the deploy config. Everything is yours: no dependency on us to keep it running.

Engagement

Scoped and handled as part of your subscription. Start with a discovery call. We'll audit your WordPress site, scope the migration, and tell you if it's a fit before you commit to anything.

Not ideal for

  • WooCommerce stores with large catalogs
  • Sites built around membership or community plugins
  • Teams that live inside the WordPress admin all day
Life after WordPress

Keep the site. Lose the maintenance.

WordPress earns its keep when a team publishes daily. For everyone else, it's a stack of plugins, updates, and hosting bills guarding a site that rarely changes. A static Astro build keeps everything visitors see and drops everything you were maintaining.

Connect

No more update treadmill

A static site has no PHP, no database, and no plugins to patch. The security update emails stop, because there is nothing left to exploit.

Fast at the edge

Pages are served as static files from data centers near your visitors, instead of being assembled by PHP and a database on every request.

Hosting gets cheap

No managed WordPress hosting bill. Static sites deploy to Cloudflare or Netlify, where hosting typically costs next to nothing.

Conversion ready

Your ads are only as smart as the data you feed them.

We make sure your site sends quality conversion data back to Google and Meta, through pixels, the Conversions API, or offline conversion imports, whichever your accounts actually use. Better signal in, better optimization out.

Pixels & tags, placed once

Meta Pixel, Google tags, and GA4 events fired through one GTM container, not scattered across the page by three different freelancers.

Server-side when it counts

Meta's Conversions API and Google's offline and enhanced conversions, so the data still lands when ad blockers and browser limits kill the pixel.

Clean signal, not noise

Deduplicated events, mapped to the conversions that actually matter, and consent-aware so the platforms optimize on data that's real.

What we won't promise

That we'll run your campaigns. We build and verify the pipeline so clean data reaches the ad platforms. What you bid on after that is your call, or your media buyer's.

GEO · AI search

When someone asks an AI about your business, it should have an answer.

Search isn't only Google anymore. People ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot, and those engines can only recommend what they can read and understand. We build every site so machines parse it as cleanly as people do.

What we won't promise

That ChatGPT names you tomorrow. Nobody honest can, those engines are a black box. What we promise is that nothing on your site is the reason it doesn't.

  • Structured data, where it helps

Schema.org markup earns your Google knowledge panel and rich results. For AI it's a refinement that reinforces what your page already says in plain text, not something the page depends on.

  • Server-rendered, not JS-walled

Every word ships as real HTML. The crawlers behind ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI answers read the whole page, not an empty shell.

  • Answer-shaped content

Clear headings, direct answers, clean semantics, so an AI can lift a paragraph and cite you without garbling what you do.

  • Crawler rules that say yes

robots.txt that welcomes AI crawlers instead of quietly blocking half of them. We add an llms.txt too. Google has basically called it pointless, but it costs nothing to ship.

  • Built to Google's latest guidance

We follow what Google actually publishes, helpful-content signals, structured-data eligibility, and the rules for AI Overviews, and build to what's current, not what worked two years ago.

  • Measured against your competitors

We look at who already shows up for your terms and what their markup and content structure get right, so yours can match or beat what's working for them.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Common questions about this service.

Will all of my content come over?

Yes. Posts, pages, images, categories, and metadata all migrate. We export it from WordPress, clean out shortcode and page-builder markup, and move it into Markdown or a headless CMS. You review the migrated content before launch.

Will my URLs and search rankings survive the migration?

Yes. Before launch we crawl the old site and build a 301 redirect map, so every existing URL points to its new home. Rankings, backlinks, and bookmarks keep working.

Can my team still edit content without a developer?

Yes. We can pair the Astro front end with a headless CMS so your writers keep a familiar editor, or use Git-based Markdown if your team is comfortable with it. We scope the editing workflow with you before the build.

What happens to my WordPress plugins?

Their jobs get rebuilt into the site itself. Forms, SEO metadata, analytics, and redirects become part of the codebase, so there is nothing left to license, update, or patch. Plugins that run a business process (like WooCommerce) are a different conversation, and we will tell you honestly if the migration is not a fit.

What if my site runs WooCommerce?

A store is an application, not a content site, so a straight static migration usually isn't the right move. Depending on the size of the catalog we can scope a headless storefront or point you at a better-fit approach. We'll tell you before any work starts.

What do I get when the migration is done?

The code, the migrated content, and the deploy configuration. The site runs without us and without WordPress: no plugin licenses, no update schedule, no dependency on our subscription to keep it live.
